“GOLD RACES” EPISODE OF 2017 STIHL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP AIR RACES
TO RE-AIR ON NBC SPORTS NETWORK SUNDAY, MAY 20th
Reno, Nev. – The Reno Air Racing Association (RARA) is excited to announce the “Gold Races” episode of the 2017 STIHL National Championship Air Races will re-air on NBC Sports Network on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. EDT.
“We’re thrilled to have an additional opportunity for racing fans to view the final Gold Races of the 2017 event on national television,” said Tony Logoteta, COO of RARA. “We are looking forward to tuning in with our fans across the country and reliving the exciting 2017 Gold Races all over again while we continue to prep for this year’s 55thannual STIHL National Championship Air Races, scheduled September 12-16, 2018.”
The episode titled “Gold Races” will re-air on Sunday, May 20 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. EDT / 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. PDT on NBC Sports Network.After a week of heat races at the 2017 event, the final Gold Races were set in six classes of airplanes featuring the best pilots in the world, who will race three different closed course pylon tracks (3-mile, 5-mile, and 8-mile). Six different racing crews will call themselves National Champions at the end of the day in the fastest motorsport in the world.
